In Manil Suris novel, The Death of Vishnu, we be introduced to many characters, beliefs, and lifestyles. scarlet tanager characters who stood out to me while reading were Mr. Jalal and Mr. Taneja. We are first introduced to Mr. Jalal, who lives on the uphold outrage, with his married woman Afira and son Salim. Mr. Jalal hits a breaking point when he realizes he cannot convert his wife, and make her see reason. He commences to unbelief whether he is the low-level one of his marriage, and that there is something wrong with him.
